Earthspin

Forty thousand nights.
I'm still running.
To or From?

I came from nowhere,
I go somewhere.

Maybe I came from somewhere and I go nowhere.

The Earth turns under my feet.
Maybe If I jump,
really high,
It will let me go somewhere
other than just back
Down to nowhere.

Can I run without moving?
Maybe my feet are spinning the Earth
And I am stationary.

But if I go the other way,
Am I going backwards,
In reverse?
Since the Earths' spin unchanges.

So what if I stop?
