A Poem

Halt

Carrying
The load of the world
On my smoldering soul.

My mind aches,
Breaking my heart
Into irretrievable fragments
of what I know as love.

Am I bound to sorrow?
A slave to what I can never have?
Or do the clues reveal a higher meaning
When unfolded unto time?

Is there another world
Where I roam freely,
Or is this the perpetual perplexation
I am meant to conquer?

Questions that have no meaning,
Answers revealing even less,
Depict a causality of uncommon concern
For nothing and less.

When the revolution of the world
Brings me to a halt.
